NEWSS Annual Meeting

ANNUAL MEETING INFORMATION

MOVING FROM SHERATON SOCIETY HILL TO HYATT REGENCY PHILADELPHIA AT PENN’S LANDING

The venue for the joint Northeastern Weed Science Society and Northeast Branch of American Society of Horticultural Sciences has been changed.

Due to unforeseen circumstances with remodeling the meeting rooms at the Sheraton Society Hill, we will not be meeting there. The management at the Sheraton has worked diligently with me to find a new location. We will be meeting at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. The Hyatt’s address is: 201 South Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19106. http://pennslanding.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp. This is two blocks from the Sheraton.

The room rate is the same ($119/night) and self-parking rate is $20/day, valet parking is available. The reservations made at the Sheraton are being transferred to the Hyatt. YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE NEW RESERVATIONS. The Hyatt will send you a confirmation once the reservations are entered in their computer system.

Transportation from the airport is through Lady Liberty (215-724-8888). Driving directions and map are attached.

If you had items shipped to the Sheraton Society Hill they will be moved to the Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing.

The dates and times for all meetings, events, talks, socials, etc, are the same. Only the location has changed.

If you have not made hotel reservations yet, call the Hyatt at 215-928-1234.

Have a great holiday and see everyone at the Philadelphia Hyatt Regency at Penns Landing in January.
